Shri ArasuriAmbaji Mata Devasthan commonly known as Amba Ji Temple. It is situated in the Banaskantha, and Gujrat, India. The temple dedicated to the Devi AmbeMaa. Ambaji is a significant temple town with millions of believers visiting the Ambaji temple every single year. It’s one of the 51 Shakti Peethas. Ambajimata temple is a major Shakti Peeth of India.

Architectural style

The temple is of white marble and a big campus-compound and always a neat & clean property round the clock and you will never see any gorbage in or outside temple. Nowadays Shikhar of temple is covered by pure gold and 70% work is finished and tons of Gold is utilized for overingShikhar. It is believed that the Heart of Sati Devi has fallen here. The origin of the Shakti Peetha status temple is from the mythology of Daksha yaga and Sati's self-immolation. Shakti Peethas were believed to have been formed when the body parts of the corpse of Sati Devi fell into different regions when Lord Shiva carried her corpse in sorrow after her death. The shrines are considered as highly revered by Shaivist (Shaivism) sect in Hinduism. The Shakti Peethas are mostly worshiped by tantra practitioners.

The nearest International Airport is SardarVallabhbhai Patel International Airport, Ahmedabad which is 179 km far from Ambaji Temple Town.

By Train

The nearest Railway station of Gujarat is at Palanpur Junction which comes under the administrative control of Western Railway zone of the Indian Railways. It has direct rail links on the broad gauge to the cities of Chennai, Thiruvananthapuram, Mysore, Bangalore, Pune, Mumbai, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Delhi, Dehradun, Muzaffarpur, Bareilly and Jammu. The doubling will benefit the districts of Kutch, Patan and Banaskantha in the state of Gujarat. The other way to the nearest Railway station is at Abu Road which is 22 kilometres away from Ambaji. Ambaji is 18 km away from Maval in Rajasthan.

By Road

Ambaji is 179 kms by road from Ahmedabad.

Though there are hundreds of big and small private Hotels and Guest House, Dharmasala in Ambaji, yet in furtherance of providing more facilities.

There is a beautiful Shivalaya on the hill named "Kailash tekari”, where one can go only by climbing the steps and walking on a wonderful hilly area of Kailash Tekari. The exploring Kailash tekari is always a pleasant experience for visitors.



Just 5 km away from Ambaji near the Origin of the Vedic Vargin River Saraswati, there is an ancient temple of Shri KoteshwarMahadev, attached with a Holy Kund and the flows of river Saraswati from the Mouth of Cow (Gaumukh), incurved in a rock.As per a legend there was an Ashram of Rushi Valmiki, the author of Ramayana.



Just 3 km away from Ambaji near Kumbharia Jain Temple there is an ancient KumbheshawarMahadev Temple which has been built as per Vastu Shastra, the ancient Indian Science of Architecture, with wonderful pieces of architect and Holy idol Ling of Ashutosh, and Jaladhari made from marble, continuously pouring holy water on the Shivlinga.

About the Temple :

Baidyanath Jyotirlinga temple, also known as Baba Baidyanath dham and Baidyanath dham is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, the most sacred abodes of Shiva. It is located in Deoghar in the Santhal Parganas division of the state of Jharkhand, India. It is a temple complex consisting of the main temple of Baba Baidyanath, where the Jyotirlinga is installed, and 21 other temples.

About the Puja:

Offering Bilva or belpatra in Shiva Puja is important and considered auspicious. A confluence of three leaves, "Bilva" is symbolic of Shiva's three eyes as well as his trident (trishul) which is believed to destroy sins of the past three births. However, there are certain days when one should not pluck the bel leaves from a tree.
